Hi, I’m Denis Markwell, and live in Brisbane Australia.
I have worked in the Windows OS space since leaving school in 1993.
My first 15 years were spent mainly in education, first working for a systems integrator that supported schools and from 2000 working as an independent contractor across schools.
From 2008 I worked across government and private sector IT, first in service desk roles but soon found my way into Microsoft Configuration Manager and have kept this as my main area of focus.
Hobbies include motorcycle riding, and in 1997 I started a motorcycle photo website that quicky grew and by 2006 it was the worlds most visited motorcycle website (alexa.com). in the 2010’s the world moved to social media, and the use of traditional community websites declined, so in 2015 the time came to move on.
Other hobbies include travel, particularly Japan as it feels like a second home, and I also run a large aquarium focused on SPS coral (Small Polyp Stony Corals) which is quite the challenging hobby!
